Now compare it to the passage passage you wrote for the warm-up of Chapter 1 or first journal writing. Ask yourself, could you use this passage to enrich that earlier piece?

10/22 - Friday before Fall Break

  10/22 Greetings, Class There is no physical meeting for class today. We spent the week discussing our individual progress in our 107 course.  Spend today’s class time revising your best journal assignments and implementing the skills that you learned from chapters 1-6 of our textbook.   If you have not completed the discussions from our Friday classes, you should also complete those assignments.  Your contributions will be factored into your participation and attendance calculations.  Monday and Tuesday are Fall Break. Enjoy your time off and we will meet on Wednesday.  Dr. Hill

Complete Try This 5.1 on page 138 of your book Draw the floor plan of the first house you remember living in.  Take a mental tour through this house, pausing (and making on the floor plan) where significant events occurred.   Walk through again, making a list of these events. Pick one of them and write about it. A Poetry Prize for KY Undergraduates

The Flo Gault Student Poetry Prize , hosted annually by Sarabande Books, offers cash awards to undergraduate poets enrolled in Kentucky colleges.   The winner will receive $500 and a limited-edition letterpress broadside featuring their work, as well as promotion on Sarabande's website and social media platforms.
