 Friday 

  • Try This 9.5 (page 267)
    • Find a place in your story where you either do or could use a flashback.  Instead use your journal for exploring background.  
    • Write down everything, fast. 
    • Then take a hard look at it to decide just how little of it you can use...
      • How much of it the reader can infer? 
      • How you can sharpen an image to imply a past incident or condense an emotion in a line of dialogue?
